A second look, built into the scan.

A QR code is a link you can't read. Anyone with a sticker printer can put one over a menu, a pay station or a parcel note, and your phone will open it without a second thought.

Drop a screenshot of any QR code below. You will see the address it really opens and the verdict, the same way the app shows it.

How it works

Three steps. One phone.

  1. 1Share or point

Share a screenshot, email or chat image to ScanSentry, or point the camera at a printed code. The code never has to leave the phone it arrived on.

  2. 2See the real link

The full destination is shown in plain text: shorteners, raw IP addresses and look-alike names are spelled out instead of hidden.

  3. 3Decide

Safe opens when you tap. Caution explains what looks odd. Block stops the page and tells you why.

What it stops

Stickers are cheap. Refunds aren't.

Parcels you never ordered

The FTC warns about packages with a QR code asking you to scan and find out who sent them. The code can lead to a phishing site or malware.

Fake payment stickers

A new code glued over a pay station or table sign sends your card to a look-alike page while the real meter never hears about it.

Codes in emails and texts

"Scan to verify your account." The code arrives on your phone, so a camera can't help. ScanSentry reads it on screen and checks it first.

The Anti-Phishing Working Group counted 1,003,924 phishing attacks in the first quarter of 2025 and reported a rise in QR code lures (APWG Phishing Activity Trends Report, Q1 2025).

Who it's for

At home, at the counter, on the floor.

A young man at a bright kitchen table pausing before he taps a link on his phone

The code is already on your phone.

A parcel text, a concert ticket email, a screenshot a friend sent. You can't point a camera at your own screen. ScanSentry reads the code right where it is, shows you the full address and gives a verdict before your browser opens anything.
